A Membership That Paid Back Its Ad Cost in Month One | Tim Storey
A Membership That Paid Back Its Ad Cost in Month One | Tim Storey
How a webinar engine turned a speaker's audience into a paid membership, and paid back its ad cost in month one.
How a webinar engine turned a speaker's audience into a paid membership, and paid back its ad cost in month one.
Best round: $1.73 per webinar registration at launch. By the end of the series, a paying member cost $216 in media against a $270/month membership.
The Challenge
Tim Storey is a speaker and coach with a global audience and decades of keynote footage. By late 2024 his two communities, Worldshakers for Men and Worldshakers for Women, were merging into one brand: Worldshakers Society, with a paid membership at its core. The studio had already spent a year turning his archive into a working content library. The new job was different: build the brand, the website, the funnel and the acquisition engine for a subscription product, then run it.
What our client is saying
"Serge Creator helps you to establish who you are, what you are doing and also the message that you’re telling people."

Serge Creator is out of this world in marketing and branding.

Method
Numbers on this page come from three systems and are labeled by source. Registrations are Meta Ads Manager conversion events on 7-day click attribution; repeat registrants across separate events may be included. Unique-people counts and attendance come from CRM webinar tags (export, September 2026). A paying member is a paid subscription in billing records; incomplete checkouts and full-discount coupons are excluded. Membership length is estimated from first to last billing. Spend figures are Ads Manager totals: $8,221 on registration campaigns, $10,061 for the full series including retargeting and one special-guests promotion.

The Membership Funnel
6,770 link clicks → 2,692 ad-attributed registrations (1,816 unique people) → 1,504 webinar attendees → 38 paying members.
Show-up climbed from 27% at the launch event to 69% by the final one as the reminder sequences and scheduling matured: a 2.5x improvement while volume held.
Attendance by event
The columns below are volume, event by event: every registration, with the attending share filled in. The line underneath is the same data expressed as a rate, on its own axis. Read them together and the pattern is easy to miss in a table: the columns barely move while the filled share keeps growing.
Registrations and attendance
Show-up rate
Series average 53%Registration volume held flat across six months while the share of people who actually turned up climbed from 27% at the launch event to 69% at the last. Nothing about the offer or the budget changed to produce that; the reminder sequences, the scheduling and the post-event follow-up did. The two largest events, March 29 and June 10, both sit below the trend line, which is the usual cost of buying reach faster than an audience warms up.
Counts come from CRM webinar tags, so they include organic and email traffic and run slightly above the ad-attributed totals. The February 19 special-guests webinar is not in the chart: it was promoted on link clicks and carries no registration tag. Cost per registration ran from $1.73 at launch to $4.44 late in the series as frequency built, and the blended $3.05 held across the whole run.
Membership economics
$216 in media per paying member (registration campaigns; $265 all-in)
$270/month membership price: media on a member paid back inside month one
8 months median paid membership length (estimated from billing records)
Roughly 10x median member revenue against the media cost to acquire them
38 paying members during the six-month series, including one annual
3 more members joined through the same funnel after the engagement closed, with no ads running

Creatives
Video AdsAd creative Six talking-head video ads cut for the webinar campaigns.
Webinar Graphic AdsAd creative Eight vertical graphics for the registration campaigns.
Graphic Carousel AdAd creative Four-frame carousel for the same Meta campaigns. The platform behind the membership
A membership is only worth what arrives after the card clears, so the studio built the delivery side too.
Every purchase onboards the buyer onto SRG+, the studio's own content platform. The member lands in the Worldshaker Society hub with the library behind it: replays from the live webinar series, and the standing premium series that runs between events. Alongside it, an invitation to the members' WhatsApp group, connected to the CRM so the billing record and the community access stay in step.
The hub was built and stocked before launch, not bolted on afterwards. Onboarding went live with the first sales in February 2025, and webinar replays began landing in the hub from the first days of March, so anyone joining mid-series could catch up on everything they had missed.

Membership Outcome
The series produced 2,692 ad-attributed registrations at $3.05 each on registration campaigns, from 1,816 unique people. Thirty-eight of them became paying members while the series ran, at $216 in media per member against a $270 monthly price, and the median membership went on for about eight months. The funnel and creative system we built is still running; the client has since scaled paid media in-house on top of it, and three more members joined after our engagement closed with no ads running at all.
Limits worth stating: registration counts are ad-attributed events, not deduplicated people, and unique-people counts come from the CRM export. Membership length is an estimate from billing records.
The client kept bringing new work
In August 2024, Tim introduced the studio to an AI venture he was the face of; it became its own production sprint. In June 2025, while the webinar series was in flight, he brought a second brand of his own: Lead With Love. Its funnel and campaign went live 12 days after kickoff and drew 164 applications; the event sold out. Two new engagements in two years, both introduced by the client. [COMPONENT] Stats Block B: "Two Years in Numbers"
A second brand, mid-engagement: UNaiTY
n August 2024, ten months into the engagement, Tim introduced the studio to UNaiTY, an AI venture he championed. It did not arrive as an extension of Worldshakers work. It came in as its own scope, with its own shoot, its own deliverables and its own three-month window.
What the studio delivered:
A two-day on-location shoot, with RAW selection and photo editing
A seven-reel short-form pack, with revision rounds
A photo set for the venture's own channels
The sprint ran from late August to late November 2024. It is one of the three filming sessions counted above, and it is the honest explanation for the quiet stretch in the Worldshakers timeline that autumn. The team was not idle. It was on another brand the client had brought in.
A third brand of his own: Lead With Love
In June 2025, with the webinar series still running, Tim brought the studio a second brand of his own: Lead With Love.
This one was about speed. From kickoff to a live funnel and a live campaign took 12 days. The funnel drew 164 applications, and the event sold out.
It was also the second time in two years that the client brought new work to the studio rather than the studio going out to find it.
LWD Funnel
Lead With Love was not one funnel. It was two, running at the same time for two audiences who needed opposite things.
Cold traffic had never heard of the event, so it got a webinar. Paid social into a landing page, a registration, then six reminders across email and text before the date. Warm traffic already knew him, so it got an invitation instead: direct messages, and a printed card with a QR code that skipped straight to the same registration.
Both doors opened into the same room. From there the path is a single line: the webinar, a video page carrying the offer, three tiers, and a thank-you page that hands a buyer logistics and a person rather than a receipt. The top tier never was self-serve. It closed on a call and the link followed afterwards.
Underneath all of it, one CRM, tagged by the source each registration came from, so the two funnels could be read apart.
